Cleaning & Laundry ruling
Can bleach go down the drain?
Normal, label-directed use is one thing. Disposing of leftover product is not normal use.

01
Why the pipe objects
Normal diluted use differs from dumping concentrate; excess bleach can damage surfaces, create dangerous reactions and disrupt septic microbes.
02
Do this instead
Use only the label-directed amount. Keep unwanted concentrate in its original container and follow local disposal instructions.
03
Already did it?
Never combine cleaning products. If a large amount was poured out, ventilate the area, follow the product label and contact Poison Control or your wastewater authority for guidance.
