Why the pipe objects
Meat adds stringy solids and fat to a disposal and drain; gristle can wrap or lodge instead of grinding cleanly.

Wrap scraps securely for the trash or use a local food-scrap program that accepts meat.

Stop feeding the disposal. If it hums, jams or drains slowly, switch off power and follow the manufacturer’s safe reset instructions. Never reach inside.
