Why the pipe objects
Rice absorbs water and releases starch. In a pipe it can collect into a sticky mass instead of washing away.

Scrape rice into compost or the trash before the plate reaches the sink.

A few stray grains are unlikely to be a crisis. If you sent down a bowlful, do not add more food or grease; watch for slow drainage.
