Kitchen ruling
Can soup and stew go down the drain?
A spoonful left on a rinsed plate is one thing. Pouring out the container is another.

01
Why the pipe objects
Broth may flow, but the fat, noodles, rice, meat and vegetables in it do not disappear inside a drain.
02
Do this instead
Strain the solids into trash or compost; save usable broth or dispose of small liquid portions according to local guidance.
03
Already did it?
Do not add grease, solids or chemical cleaner. A small accidental amount may pass; watch for slow drainage and call a plumber if the fixture changes.
